Cosmo Mumba To Petition Concourt To Stop Hichilema From Contesting 2021 General Elections[/caption]
National Revolution Party (NRP) President Cosmo Mumba has warned that he would petition the Constitutional Court to stop Mr Hichilema from contesting the 2021 elections if he does not exculpate himself over the lower Zambezi issue.
Mr. Mumba says Mr. Hichilema must explain his involvement in the Lower Zambezi National Park and the privatisation services he rendered from the people of Zambia to others.
He says he will file a Petition in the Constitutional court to stop Mr. Hichilema from Contesting 2021 General Elections before he explains himself to Zambians.
Mr Mumba said with the exposure of Mr Hichilema’s involvement in the sale of the lower Zambezi, he could not be trusted as president.
He says Mr. Hichilema was a danger to Zambia and must not be trusted with the instruments of power.
“This guy(Hichilema) can not be trusted with power. As NRP we will be filing for a Petition in the Constitutional courts to bar Mr. Hichilema to contest 2021 General Elections before he exculpates himself. Zambians need answers on his involvement in National Assets” he said.
Mr. Hichilema is not new in the selling of National Assets, he privatized the Mines and now he has pocketed over US$14 Million in Lower Zambezi National Park. He loves money too much and we can’t risk people to be lead by money lovers” he said.
Mr. Mumba was speaking to Zambian Watch in an Interview Monday Afternoon in Lusaka.
